Growing up, I was passionate about learning and always involved with extra-curricular activities like piano, cheerleading, and church related gatherings. Momma would always tell me " get out there and warm the world with your smile", and that's pretty much how I live my life to this day...looking for ways to touch the hearts of others; being intentional with my giftedness, my passions and my abilities.
My younger years were spent in Great Falls, South Carolina. Never heard of Great Falls, well that's to be expected. It’s an ink dot on the map in Chester County, just north of Columbia, off I-77, but it was a great place to call home.
Life since then has been anything but dull. Married now for 25 years with two wonderful sons (yes, I used wonderful and sons in the same sentence) who "adore" their Momma. They do, but they are too cool to admit it! My family is my single greatest accomplishment. I am truly blessed beyond measure.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and volunteering with various organizations including Lake Murray Younglife, Happy Wheels and Radius Church. Nothing satisfies the heart more than volunteering!
My family and I are huge Yankee fans, so we’ve taken several trips to New York where the energy is contagious and the baseball is an experience. I’m a big fan of the South Carolina coast as well. Give me a chair on the beach, a good book and a cooler of Diet Coke and you’ll be hard pressed to get a complaint from me.
A few of my other favorite destinations include the Amish Country in PA., our nation’s capital ~ Washington DC, Baltimore MD, Dallas TX, Lake Lure NC, and ANYWHERE is the Caribbean…Ahhh, I can lose myself just typing those words.
We may not have a “professional” sports team in South Carolina, but the Carolina Panthers are just north of here in beautiful Charlotte, NC. If you’re not from here then you may not know what a Gamecock is but, don’t worry; not only will I educate you on what it means to be a Gamecock, I’ll get you excited about being USC Gamecocks. Here, we bleed garnet and black. GO COCKS!
Before I joined the RE/MAX Advantage Group I was part the EXIT Real Estate Team here in Lexington, South Carolina. Before that, my husband and I owned a multi-million dollar a year business with clients ranging from, Wal- Mart, Home Depot, University of South Carolina and Area Property Management to name a few. We sold the business in 2010 to continue our love of education through experience. I joined Palmetto Smiles, a pediatric dental office in Lexington, where I worked the front desk area and did what I do best…meet people! If you haven’t noticed, there’s a theme here and it’s my love of people. I enjoy hearing their stories, and encouraging their dreams.
Prior to taking real estate classes and passing the exam, my husband, Billy and I were involved in real estate for a number of years buying and flipping houses, owning multiple homes at the coast and renting them as vacation properties. So, becoming a real estate consultant was just a natural transition for me.
I could say my specialty is the greater Lexington, Lake Murray and surrounding areas, but I strive for so much more; my specialty is helping you through a major life change and helping you find the perfect fit for you and/or your family. I truly love this area and pride myself on my knowledge of current transactions, school districts, neighborhood information, and related services, including mortgage, insurance and inspection information.
If you are in the market to buy or sell a home, I welcome the opportunity to work on your behalf. Give me a call today 803-463-6851 and let's find the perfect property for you.
